Frozen Tide stomps Middle Tennessee State
The University of Alabama Men’s Hockey team defeated Middle Tennessee State University this weekend by a scores of 9-2 and 8-4 at Southern Ice Arena in Franklin, Tenn. On Friday night the tide won by a score of 9-2, with goalie Will Damare making 20 saves on 22 shots. Forwards Sean Keller and Sam Fullone lead the way for the tide combining for 4 goals and 1 assist in the tide’s rout of MTSU. Mark Wysock, Sass Schirmer, Forrest Merrill, Steve Filo and Mike Albanese scored in Friday nights game as well.

Game 2 on Saturday night was an intense game with the tide winning by a score of 8-4 with Tide forward Sam Bodner scoring 3 goals with 1 assist. Goalie Brett Thomas was solid between the pipes making 16 saves on 20 shots. Sam Fullone, Mark Wysock, Sass Schrimer, Sean Keller and Mike Albanese also scored in the game. The tide dominated the 3rd period, scoring 5 goals in the third frame and tallying over 50 shots in the game.

Next on the list: The UL Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns
Next weekend the Tide take’s on the Louisiana-Lafayette next Friday and Saturday. Both games start at 8 p.m., and at the Pelham Civic Complex. This is the last home game for the Tide until January 9th due to the Thanksgiving and Christmas Holiday’s.
The home game next Saturday, November. 22., against Louisiana-Lafayette, the tide will celebrate Veterans Appreciation’s day. All veterans that attend the game will be admitted free into the game
